On our website, 116 is the number of books by and about Latinxs (73), plus the books by but not about Latinxs (43). I hope that clears it up a bit. If you email your request to ccbcinfo(at)education.wisc.edu, we'll be happy to send you the list.Madeline Tynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07559810209759562966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6422332823670506235.post-34666087372598142252018-05-15T12:14:58.283-07:002018-05-15T12:14:58.283-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Madeline Tynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07559810209759562966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6422332823670506235.post-56985273326111301272018-05-15T09:47:50.777-07:002018-05-15T09:47:50.777-07:00You state that "73 of these were by Latinx au...You state that "73 of these were by Latinx authors and/or illustrators. Whenever possible, we count disabilities as they are identified in the text or illustrations of a book, e.g. when a text states that a character is on the autism spectrum, or when a character is shown using a wheelchair in the illustrations. We take note of characters with physical, intellectual, cognitive, communicative, psychiatric, and other disabilities, including chronic and mental illness.
